Mirror Replacement

Models: ALL, Years: ALL

Unfortunately the Pinz mirrors extend the most from the body and driving through a forest or along rocks they are “the first to go”. The original mirrors are pretty expensive to use them for this type of fun.....

Fortunately there are other mirrors available but they normally won’t fit the original attachments. A model matching the OEM mirrors pretty closely are the Automan K-source CL082 (#36-2509-6) available in autoparts stores. They are 8”x4.5” in size and have a much larger viewing angle then the OEM mirrors.
Here some hints how you can install them:

“The Dave Dunn method”:

Two small pieces of “tube” or standoffs are drilled in the center and then threaded for the mirror bolt. Slide the adapters over the existing “stick” and screw the mirrors into the threaded hole. The mirrors will be held by the bolt pressing against the stick. Holds better then original..........

“The Jay Reich method”:

“The Robert Andrew method”:

Reuse of the existing clamps. A bolt holds the bracket to the rod and the mirror bolt is attached to one “flap” of the bracket.
